Kicked to the curb!

So today my wee little Kindergartner kicked me right to the curb. Gave him a little freedom and what does he do?? Well first he dressed up like Indiana Jones and started playing. I went upstairs to check on his progress getting ready today and I found Indy playing in the playroom. I got him dressed sort of - but he did ask for some privacy. I finally got him all ready in his uniform with his Indiana Jones hat on by the way, and asked him if he wanted mommy to walk him to the big, scary lunchroom. It will be filled with lots of children, nearly impossible to find your table and your teacher said I. His response, "Nah Mom, I can do it." What?, What's that you say?? You can do it. So I say to Singing Sensation, can you sort of follow your brother and make sure he gets to Mrs.Tucker and his table. She then explains all the reasons why he will need her to help him. His response, "No, you bossy girl! I know where to go." What? What is that you say??? Are you kicking me and your sister to the curb? So at the carpool line, I mouth to SS, Make sure he makes it..." I heard you Mom! I can do it." So out they go...he doesn't even wait on SS to guide him in.

This afternoon, to add insult to injury he says," Tomorrow I want to buy lunch." Why, I ask him. Today they had a chicken nugget hamburger mom. Ahh Yes my son, but tomorrow they are having something called a Max stick with marinara sauce. :)

Kicked to the curb, it is a bad feeling, but feel proud that you have instilled self confidence in his little soul.
